Madness as Methodology

Today’s prompt had me at madness. Below is my response.

It seems just as natural to howl at the moon
As it is to spout nonsense and appear as a loon.
What is lovely about poets and the words that they write
Is they smash mental windows while immune to spite
For poetical musings are just ramblings, right?

There is beauty in the madness one attempts to then share
With readers and thinkers and whoever will care.
Read on, dearest guest to the pockets of mind,
Whether light or just scary, I assure you I’m kind.
These musings are the flashlight for the otherwise blind.
